I love how my blog posts are mostly images! I clearly care more about the design of this page rather than the content. Let me know what you think....

So as my birthday is around the corner I have been thinking a lot about what I want. The past few years I have always gotten something photography related, but now that I have my film camera, and my digital SLR. What else could I want?
There are a lot of pocket digital cameras out there and I have always wanted one, if only for the purpose of having something small to take when I go out with my friends. Because I hardly ever take my D-SLR out with me and when I do then its like I am the designated photographer for the night, because it is hard to be invisible with a camera of that size. And while I am a huge fan of the canon digital elf series... everyone and their mother has one. So if I was going to get a compact digital it would have to be different and it would need to give me some features that I would want from a fully manual camera.
So I have found 2 different cameras that I really like that are digital. The first one is from Leica. Now most of you probably have heard of leica because of their popular camera that they did with panasonic. But in my opinion that camera lacks style and a few wonderful features that the Leica D-LUX has. This camera is 10.1 MP and has a fully manual focus option and the option to switch between shooting formats 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 (which is something that my huge SLR can't even do!) However while it is a beautiful camera, it doesn't have a flash (which is a must for a night out on the town) and it is quite expensive (around $600) but still a nice wish none the less.
The next digital I found is the Samsung NV10, now it has a flash, but is missing some of the manual options that the Leica has. But it is a beautiful camera that is quite retro looking. It's also 10.1 MP. The price point is around $250. I haven't either of these cameras personally, but I think that they look great and I would love to own one and try it out.
My final camera wish for this birthday year is the Diana+ from lomography. This is a plastic camera with a cult type following. One of the reasons that I want one is that it uses medium format film which I have not yet had a chance to work with, and it is inexpensive ($50). But there is a lot that you can do with this classic camera. Check out http://www.flickr.com/groups/diana_plus/pool/ for some great photos taken with a Diana+

So I turn 21 this year and I am very excited! I have planned an all out 2 day event. The first is the evening that I turn 21 at midnight at a little bar downtown near NYU, it's a pretty chill scene but I would like to still look fashionable. So I am presenting you all with 3 pieces from american apparel (one of my favorite companies) to help me choose my outfit for that night. Now of course it is winter in NYC so black tights will or course be in order, and I will probably wear brown high healed boots. (its a lighter brown and don't worry I like mixing black and brown) So these three dresses are all pretty laid back and comfortable, t-shirt style dresses. Leave comments to vote, or if you have any suggestions with what else I should wear. I would love to hear it!

Now I know that this blog is about fashion and my style and things that I want now, however, what I want right now is to see this man be the next great president of the United States of America.I am 20 years old (21 in a few weeks) and I have always seen the campaigns urging young people to vote, but I have never cared. I always thought that my vote didn't matter because I live in a state that will always vote the same way. But now I feel like if we all ask for change then we can create change. This song made me cry, watch it and leave comments Great video featuring will.i.am, john legend, herbie hancock, nicole scherzinger, scarlett johansson, kate walsh, and others, singing along with the Yes We Can speech by Barack Obama.
